Commercial and Editorial Makeup Artist with a love for creative beauty

I have worked successfully has a commercial and editorial makeup artist for almost 10 years.  I have extensive knowledge of fashion and editorial makeup styles and trends as well as creating beautiful red carpet makeup for events and beauty campaigns.

My work has been published both in print and online magazines including the infamous Vogue Italia.

Who am I inspired by?

I am a self confessed 1990’s beauty junkie.  I adore the makeup and styling of the supermodels of this era… Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford…

I especially love Madonna for her evolving style through the years.  From the early days of her short bleached crop, dark fluffy brows and beauty spot to her latest looks.  She is always forward thinking and enjoys experimenting.  A woman after my own heart.

In regards to creatives I am a huge fan of both Alex Box and Yvonne The Artist for their exciting makeup creations and I also love Nikki Makeup’s signature glowing skin looks which I like to incorporate in some of my own beauty work.

My work and experience

I am the Creative Beauty Director for British Muse magazine (digital and print).  The involves shortlisting editorial and beauty submissions for publishing and working with beauty brands and PR companies, testing and reviewing products for articles and online content.

Although I am a freelance makeup artist, I am also represented as a creative in the North East of the UK by TTM Management.  Gaining representation was an ambition of mine early in my career so I am delighted to work with TTM Management and showcase my work along with many other amazing creatives in the fashion and editorial industry.

I am experienced in commercial, fashion and editorial styles.  I have had my work published in various online and print magazines including the infamous  Vogue Italia.  In 2018, I completed the highly coveted Val Garland Mastered Accelerator course. This was a global talent programme for creatives within the fashion industry and I was being mentored by world class industry professionals for 10 months.

My work was critiqued by Editors from big magazine names within the industry including Beauty Editor for American Vogue.  I was also coached by scouts for some of the biggest agencies in the world, advising me on my work and portfolio.  This was an incredible one in a life time experience.  One I will always be grateful for. Some of the advice I received was invaluable for me to progress my career.

I pride myself on keeping up to date with current trends from fashion runways and magazines.  I have worked with some amazing leading creatives in the fashion and editorial industry from photographers, fashion and accessories designers and stylists and I am experienced working under pressure to strict time lines.  This is an absolute must when working on shows or photoshoots.
