There are moments in business that make you stop for a second, look back at how far you’ve come, and simply feel grateful. Receiving the award for Best Bridal Makeup Artist of the Year Northern 2026 from the Leaders in Luxury Awards is one of those moments.
`This recognition marks my 26th award, and while awards are never the reason I do what I do, they are a lovely reminder that hard work, dedication and a genuine passion for helping clients feel their absolute best never goes unnoticed.
The past year has been one of the busiest and most rewarding of my career. From early morning bridal preparations to evening filled appointments, every day has been filled with incredible clients who have trusted me to be part of some of the important moments in their lives. Whether its a bride walking down the aisle, a client celebrating a special occasion or someone wanting to learn how to apply their own makeup in one of my popular makeup lessons, every appointment is a privilege for me.
On of the things I am most proud of is the number of returning clients I continue to welcome back year after year. There is something really special about building long lasting relationships and becoming a trusted business to my clients. Seeing familiar faces return for weddings, family celebrations, photoshoots and special events means more than any award ever could.
Alongside my wonderful regular clients, I have also had the pleasure of meeting new faces this year. Each new client brings their own style, personality, and story and I love creating bespoke makeup looks that enhance their natural beauty while ensuring every individual feels comfortable and confident.
The kind reviews, recommendations and referrals I continue to receive continue to be one of the biggest driving forces behind my business. In today’s world, personal recommendations carry tremendous value and I never take for the granted the trust clients place in me when they recommend my services to friends and family. Every review left online, every social media mention and every kind of message contributes to the growth of my business and helps future clients feel confident when booking.
As a bridal makeup artist, I understand just how important it is for brides to feel calm, confident and beautiful on their wedding day. My goal has always been to provide not only professional makeup artistry but also a luxury experience that helps to make the morning of the wedding feel relaxed, enjoyable and memorable. Knowing that my work has contributed to so many special moments is incredibly rewarding.
This award reflects the support from every bride, client, family member and supplier who has been part of my journey in business. No business can thrive without support and I am fortunate to wok within an industry filled with talented professionals who inspire me to continue growing, learning and continually raising my standards.
Looking ahead my diary is already very busy over the coming weeks and months. With wedding season continuing at full pace and.a number of exciting projects in the pipeline, availability is becoming increasingly limited. I will also need to reduce my availability temporarily towards the end of the summer so I would encourage anyone considering booking an appointment to secure their preferred date and slot as soon as possible,
