Back in October 2019…
I first met Hannah for her bridal trial back in the summer of 2019. Hannah had great skin and really pretty eyes – she liked to wear makeup and was keen to make her eyes her feature for her bridal makeup.
After discussing styles and tones, we decided on going with some beautiful autumnal inspired tones for her October big day.
The look…
Hannah already had really good skin so I really wanted to emphasise this with my signature glowing base.
I prefer to get the radiance in the makeup from the skin prep and from the base rather than layering up on highlighting products. I particularly try to avoid too much highlight. I love a “glow” but I’m certainly not a fan of the highlighter stripe on the cheekbones which would stop traffic in the distance.
Her brows were groomed and only required slight definition with powder to keep them looking natural. I would always recommend avoiding any kind of trend brow for a big event or for a bridal look.
We tried a couple of different lip colours at Hannah’s bridal trial and she opted for a blush pink (very a slight plum undertone) which was a perfect choice for an autumn bride and really complimented her soft pink blush and gold/brown eyeshadow.
The eyes…
I used a soft blend of shimmery gold tones with soft browns on Hannah’s eyes, finished off with a dainty winged eyeliner to accentuate the shape. Some natural lashes were added for a beautiful final touch.
The quiet calm…
I always love those moments of quiet with the bride… when the bridesmaids are getting in to their dresses, the mums and grans are doing their own final prep and its just me and the bride. Usually brides go in to contemplative mode once the chaos stops so we usually end up just having a calm chat while its quiet.
Hannah’s bridal party was great company. They really rallied round her on the morning to keep everything ticking along smoothly.
The bridal party selfie… (there’s no better time than when you’re all dressed up ready for the biggest celebration of your life)…
The main event…
Hannah’s smile says its all! I love the look of joy on her face on these photographs. A stunning bride and handsome groom – picture perfect.
Stunning wedding photography…
A special thank you and shout out to Sally Thurrell Photography and Carla Whittingham for the official images from the day. It was my first time working at The Talbot in Malton and it was certainly a venue I look forward to working at again.
