Bridal makeup should never be about trends in my opinion. I am all about timeless, beautiful glam makeup rather than makeup styles trending on TikTok etc. However, bridal makeup for this year is definitely showing signs of a more stripped back, fresh aesthetic. Think ethereal, glowing, fresh and modern. Its a new era of softness and modern natural beauty.
Is the new Pantone Colour of the Year, Mocha Mousse going to be the new makeup tone inspiration?
I love the newly announced Mocha Mousse tone – its absolutely perfect inspiration for year round bridal makeup.
There is not a single person of any skin tone or colour that wouldn’t suit this colour as eye makeup. For those 90’s fans, it also makes a perfect liner or lip choice.
Bronzey brown has a rich, luxurious feel and can be worn subtly or smoked in to a gorgeous eye look. This would be paired perfectly with soft golds and champagne hues for pretty bridal eye makeup as well as metallic shimmers for a more dramatic eveningbmakeup. This colour really lends itself well to those wanting a natural, fresh softness.
Bronze and Glow
We are seeing more and more A-listers opting for a glowing, bronzed look (inspired by sun kissed holiday makeup), really focusing on the skin. This kind of look really requires some effort on the bride’s part and a good skin care routing is an absolute must ahead of the wedding. Luminous, radiant makeup really emphasises great skin but is less forgiving on skin that’s neglected and dehydrated so if this look is what you are aiming for this year, start taking care of your skin as soon as you can. Less coverage and a sheer blush will tick the box for a effortless, beautiful complexion.
Complimentary lip colours
Creamy nudes are going to be huge for bridal makeup inspiration this year. Warm browns, soft peaches, blush pink… they will all compliment a fresh radiant makeup look but choosing the right nude tone is key. Your bridal trial is a good opportunity to look at the best lip options
