Last night I was absolutely thrilled to learn I have just won my 19th award! I have been named Makeup Artist of the Year – North Yorkshire 2024 at the Yorkshire Prestige Awards. This is the 3rd time I have won this title by this awarding body which is absolutely amazing.
2024 has been an incredible year for me – as this is also my 5th title won this year.

I specialise in makeup services rather than typical beauty services. Here is some information on the services I provide;
Bridal makeup
I am a bridal makeup specialist – wedding bookings take up around 60% of my workload. My bridal makeup style is very much around making you the very best version of your natural self. You, but more polished and still recognisable when walking down the aisle. This is done by enhancing your features rather than masking them. Your makeup should make you feel beautiful, feel wearable and photograph perfectly without needing a heavy application.

Special Occasion Makeup/Prom Makeup
If you have a special occasion coming up, book in for a studio appointment to get the red carpet look you deserve! Having your makeup applied professionally is a nice pamper but it also takes the stress away from doing it yourself – with the added bonus that its applied to last day to night while you dance the night away. That said, during peak season (March to September) and during the Christmas party month of December it is advisable to book quickly/in advance because availability is very limited especially on a weekend during this time.

Private Makeup Lesson/1:1 Tuition
My makeup lessons are very popular particularly with those who feel stuck in a rut, approaching a milestone birthday or maybe even having gone through a major life event such as divorce or weight loss. Refreshing your look (and makeup bag) does wonders for the confidence of my clients and my feedback after lessons is always hugely positive with the same theme of being really helpful and giving clients confidence in applying their own makeup. Makeup lessons take place in my studio at The Palace Hub in Redcar and usually last around 2 hours for a full session.

Microblading (Semi Permanent Brows)
Microblading is a great solution for providing a natural looking brow on a long term basis. It really helps those with sparse (or no brows) or eyebrows that simply need some defination and shape to lift the face and improve the overall appearance. Microblading is a commitment and the decision to start the process should be considered carefully however I do request that a mandatory consultation takes place prior to booking the service so I can ensure you are fully informed of what is required, how the process is carried out and the aftercare commitment required from the client to achieve the best results.

I do also work closely with business and beauty brands providing makeup services for their branding requirements. As well as writing beauty content for magazines and fashion/runway makeup for events. About me
In regards to work, I work freelance from my studio in Redcar but travel for weddings and commercial bookings. My style is always foscussing on enhancing natural beauty – contouring is a dirty word in my appointments. If natural glam is your jam then I am your person however please don’t be offended if I think you would be better suited to a different artist. I will always give you my honest help and opinion if you book with me – because if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be doing my job properly. On a personal level, typically you’ll find me running along the beach, walking in the Lakes or lifting weights in the gym. Thats right, I’m a fitness bore but I love to socialise too (just not on a school night because I’m too old for that kind of caper)…
